This stuff seems like a natural match with SCA youth combat.

I like it. Certainly for pole arm heads and spear tips... as is it would make a gorgeous partisan!

Offer one or two to your KEM for testing and see what happens.

If it will dent a steel trash can edge-on, it will certainly deliver a stout enough blow for what we do.

Nope, the metal hilt and pommel are against the rules in Markland. And the pointy tip, I shudder to think about that passing through a bar grill. :shock: Much like the SCA, we require all parts of the blade to be at least 1-1/4" wide so it can't pass through a bargrill.

I'm thinking spears, pollaxes, maces and war hammers.

(Though you might have to incorporate a hard striking edge to get people to take hits from these mass weapons).
