Russian Nikolskoie helmet

Post by Donngal »

Finished up this helmet. i was hoping to get it out to Great Western War. We will see.

I based it on the Nikolskoie helm. I left out a few details to save time and the 12 gauge brass can just be picky at times.
The skull is 12 ga. as well the fluting makes it very hard to dent.
I cold blued the skull and wrap plate. The brass has been given a antique treatment.
aventail is a Master Knutt stainless welded.

It will be available through Windrose Armoury
should be priced around $1185.00

That is my dream helm. Someday I'll have one but alas, today is not that day.
Awsome job on it though!

Splendid work!
The occular plate is so organic and natural.
Great shape on the nasal, too.

Hi Donngal, Reeel nice hammer work , I like the way the nasal is so deep. Like a real nose. The flutes in the occular and the cap are really nice also. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.

Take care

its sized to fit a 23.25 - 23.5
as for south florida rust, I here that can even rust stainless, lol. It would resit it about as well as any other mild helmet.
