Hi!
I've been playing around with wordpress as an alternate to hand jamming html for my webpage. I'm not very technical, so I've found it to be a FAR superior method to content creation. I want to spend more time writing and less time coding.
I've moved over almost all of the content, although the old site is still up. Now sure what I'll do about domain names yet.

Now that it's up and running, I've taken a little time to write up some articles I've had kicking around for a while.
Patterning Yourself for a Gothic Fitted Dress
and
Drafting by Measurement
The two are meant to go together. While I *have* managed to do some remote patterns for people halfway across the globe, with something that worked only with measurements, I really consider that just a starting point. Once you have a measured draft to start with, fitting it closely on your own body isn't as difficult as it might seem. Time consuming, yes. But you'd have to do that with anything that wasn't fitted right on you, if you wanted a supportive garment.
I just put it up, so if you see errors, missing information, or have suggestions, please let me know! I always know what I mean, but sometimes I forget to convey an important point in writing.

Wordpress is a fine solution for your kind of site.
Wordpress will allow you to use your own domain name for 10 or 15 dollars a year (I forgot how much).
First, make sure that all the data you want from your old site is moved, as that site will not be accessible any more once you move the domain name.
Next, you will want to change your DNS info to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
Finally, from your dashboard, click on Settings > Domains and you can add the domain name there and pay the money.
PM me if you have any questions on this.
Good luck!

Mostly, I just haven't decided if I want to keep using mathildegirlgenius.com or completely switch to www.bymymeasure.com. Bymymeasure is something that both Jeff and I can use, but mathildegirlgenius is already well known. At least in some circles...
I'll probably run them both in tandem for a while, and have mathildegirlgenius point to bymymeasure for a while.
