Deepeeka Swords (seeking review)

Good, bad, eh?
I need an opinion since I've never handled one. Looking at purchasing their Late Roman Spatha.

Thier Roman stuff is quite acceptable. As a matter of fact, it's more accurate and usable that a number of more expensive (but still mass produced) repros. According to Lego... something, minor modifications can make them surprisingly accurate. As is, they're decent weapons.

But don't touch any of their non-greco-roman stuff with a 10 foot pole.

Any idea what they make their blades out of?

My friend has one of their St. Maurice swords from about five years ago, it's an absolute piece of sh*t. Deepeeka has tried to pull itself ahead of the rest of the Indian pack in the last couple years, hiring on consultants, revamping their product lines etc. I wouldn't be surprised if their quality had improved over that span of time. Judging from photos on their new website I'd be willing to take a gamble on some of their stuff now.

Hey Owen. Can their long spatha double as a celtic weapon? Is that historicly feasable?

I don't see why not. You'd need to redo the scabbard, it is VERY Roman in style.
