I find it funny that the 2 largest tournaments that I know of are on the same weekend.

Thats a good question.

I ended up not being able to fight.
I had duties to attend to as my Knight was recieving a Laurel. Being the lowest Squire on the totem pole, they got to fight... I got to serve.

I'll see if I can find it somewhere.. I am sure there is!

For those ho weren't there.

Syr Cedric of Thanet was brought before thier Majesties to recieve the honor of being made a Laurel.

When His Majesty asked if there were any members of the Chivalry who would speak on his behalf, 2 stepped forward.
Count Arloff and Sir Ivan.

Count Arloff told Thier Majesties and the Crowd that he would speak in modern SCA terms of Cedric acheivments and that Sir Ivan would translate to 14th Century terms.

A: Your Majesties, Sir Cedric often goes against the teacheings of ways known to create something, and forges his own path to create what he does. He often creates things, more of how they should be, then the easiest way.

I: He's Heretic

A: Syr Cedric so offten become so enthralled in his creating of things that he will forswear food, wine and even WOMEN until he seens it finished and perfect.

I: He's Possesed

A: Cedric, being the engineer that he is, will find ways to make things work that others can't make work. Will create things that others find near impossible to create, and will put almost supernatural detail into his works.

I: He's a Witch.

A: So your Majesties, you have one of two possible choices regarding Sir Cedric. ...
