THORGRIMR review

Post by Glaukos the Athenian »

A few months ago I asked Thorgrimr to make me a pilgrim's flask for events.

As opposed to a bottel or other liquid carriers, the pilgrim's flask has a historical typology that goes back all the way to the Bronze age and is used will only minor modifications.

The basic shape is made by joining two pottery bowls together, sealing the edges and adding a neck on the edge and two ring handles.

Thorgrimr got the shape just right, then stitched it with two rows of stitching for a complete seal and the result is a 1 quart pilgrim's flask good for any period from the Bronze Age to the Islamic period at least. Good for anyone from Mycenean to Crusaders, good in the Mediterranean and Western Europe.

5 across the board on item communication and the works. I'll try to post a pic later.

Give Thorgrim a chance for your bottel need, you will not be disappointed.
