New tool possibility

Post by Johann Lederer »

I picked up a new piece at my local flea market to use forming armor.

It has a lot of nice sharp angles. I tried creasing a knee cop and it worked well...unfortunately I got a little out of hand and overworked the cop and it split.

I picked this and a pinch bar up for $10...not bad finds.

that is a nice large 'clevis grab hook', used to shorten chains and slings.
most I see are only half as big

Damn, thats a big one. :)

I wouldn't have thought of using one for creasing- but it does sound like a workable solution.

Thanks for sharing.

You guys have me looking at every piece of metallic junk I see these days as potential armouring tools...I like that. :D

Nice find. I've looked at those before with the thought of using them in that manner; the fact that I already have bunches of creasing stakes has kept me from buying them, but it's nice to know that they will work in that manner. You got an excellent deal.

The guy I bought this from had a bucket with smaller ones in and several of the larger ones. He wanted me to buy all of them, I didn't. Hindsight being what it is I should have. I will look again Saturday.
