Another Latin translation

Wonder if anyone could assist in this...

trying to work out what a grammatically correct latin translation would be for a client...
the phrase "Authority's End" / "End of Authority" (the former preferable, the latter otherwise)

The two English versions would be identical in Latin.

Auctoritas is the right word for authority, though not the correct declension (the ending of the word needs to be different, the Latin equivalent of the way English add an 's for a possessive ending). You want auctoritatis.

For 'end,' what sense of the word do you mean? Do you mean the furthest reach of authority (the limit, ie 'the ends of the earth'), or the end like the conclusion or finishing of authority?

For the furthest reach of authority, you could use limes (the limit / edge) or limites (limits / edges).
For the conclusion / end, exitus.
For a word that can have both meanings (like the English 'end'), finis (singular) / fines (plural).

So, you want auctoritas + limes, limites, exitus, finis, or fines.

Word order doesn't matter.

I would do finis auctoritatis.

I suspect the guy was targeting the conclusion, rather the reach, as they're into archery, and I think, using the peice as a rondel carried by a well-off archer, to shank knights with.

(I tried suggesting a ballock dagger was more appropriate, but for some reason they're not happy with the idea of a glorified wooden schlong in the front of their belt... weird.)
