Best fighter practices between Philly and Richmond?
I think the title best explains it. When and where. Outside or indoor? Just fighters, or do other populace gather?
My days off are friday saturday (I work nights) but I might be able to swap days every now and again to make an appearance a time or two.
Looking for challenge, constructive criticism and exposure.

Monday nights at the Storvik Baronial Fighter Practice. College Park, MD; Indoors; 7 pm to 9:30ish. A 30+ fighter turn out is not unusual, and you get 10+ even on a bad night. His Majesty shows up regularly, and you have more Dukes, Counts and Knights than you can swing a stick at. Lots of high quality fighters, and quite a few good trainers as well, so that the many new fighters who show up can get the instruction they need.
More info can be found at http://storvik.atlantia.sca.org/
Or you can ask Animal, he quite frequently goes to that practice as well.

Yah, I gotta reccomend that practise. I have never found a better concentration of highly skilled fighters in one place before, and for the most part I have found them to be honorable and very friendly. I havent had time since the kid in the NICU thing to get that far from home, but once my life settles down to the point where I can travel a bit again I plan on making that practise as often as I can because I learn tons from everyone there. Well worth going.

Thanks guys!
Balynar, I'm coming from B-more. My wife used to play down in Richmond, though I think she used to play more with the Yarnvidians...Celest Drinkwater.
I think I fought a few of you Caer Mearites at a Stierbach event a while ago. I remember melee teams where you added those you defeated to your team. You guys were making serious roadtrips all over the place, I remember overhearing y'all talk about it.
Anyway, Richmond is never out of the question.

Ah yes. Diane. How is she?
Well, that is one hell of a road trip. But, you are always welcome.
We had a pretty good group of fighters about 3-4 years ago. At one practice you had King Ragnarr, Stephan of Bellatrix, Amalric, Corby, Colin, Aradd, Christian Von Criminal, Master Bryce, and myself. Most those guys have been knighted, and most of them have either moved or been injured. We have a whole new bunch of fighters being trained by Corby, Bryce and myself. They are a promising and hungry group of people who will probably start making some rounds and making some names for themselves in short order. Most of our current practices are basics intensive, with some harcore whomping thrown in when someone requests it.

So does that mean that i'm on the injuried list?
<Grins>
Heh. Injured reserve, I like it!
Back in armour in January...chomping at the bit!
That was THE practice at the time tho, man that was fun...folks would come from up north or down south...
Great skill level then.
Like T said, we are rebuilding now with new fighters. Still, it is a good practice for fundementals.
And like I told Animal, we will be road tripping up your way this spring sometime...
