Wow! I would love to see some helm shows in our neck of the woods, and the armour is pretty good as well.

Ok when I got to this pic my first impression was that the guy in black and gold forgot to take his cloak off the hanger before putting it on.

Are any of these guys wearing any natural fibers? I get so tired of seeing otherwise decent kits covered by tabards done in the same lousy "T-Tunic" fabric.

The helm is by Ben Scheiner (SCA: Adriano Venenciani) of Dragon Forge Armory out of Cincinnati. I have the same helm and love it. I should also be getting my full 14th C. kit from him this or next week.

My kit is all cotton (any fabric work) may be doubts about periodness but it is natural.
T Bob did you ever ge the cheque i sent you? (i never heard from you so i assumed you got it) The helm looks even better with the set of lamellar you made that i traded for.
If you want pics i can get some for you or any more pics. i spent 6 straight hours polishing that helmet from 60 grit sand paper to 1500 then half micron. it is like a bathroom mirror. the only shinier helm there was the chrome plated one.

The cheque arrived just fine--my bank took its sweet time honoring it (which was the bank's fault) After doing the "angry customer" voice, I got paid.
Did you get the "D" rings and chin-strap?

Yeah...I thought that was the best one in the Helmshau! I'm glad you're happy with it.
I'd love some pictures with you wearing the whole ensemble.

No i never go the chin strap & d rings (don't worry got it all dealt with by taking apart an old back pack)
Yeah i traded raibert my old helm straight up for the kilbanion. i have some problems with the plates continually bending. i was thinking when i get to the high maintenance plates as i relace it (it is just too blue ) i would just run them through the bead roller and put a flute in them. that should keep them straight.
i will get some pictures of both ensembles complete ASAP.

It was a fun day, but then a lot of the days in Ealdormere are fun.
We've been very lucky here in Ealdormere to have a lot of folks working towards better kits.
You're all invited to come visit. If you like it you're welcome to stay!
As well as Sir Nigel another recent imigrant to Ealdormere is Lord Robert de Bray, the gentleman is the black surcoat with the gold dragon, who came to us from Ansteorra.

Aaron - Which ones?
I know alot of people use the Mandrake bucklers.
They are VERY solid.
back on topic....
I truly beleive that this is a good example of the appearance of our kingdom.
There are some who fall below this level but they are constantly encouraged to improve, and those that do this well are constantly striving to improve even further.
Tarquin - I am also putting together a 14th century kit for Pas'....
