Re: WTB helm
Windrose Armory has some nice made to order helmets in that range. They are fast and reliable and it is made to your size. Although their website doesnt seem to be working for me.
Also Zweihammer has some very nice kits that you buy for extremely cheap and build yourself. Easy to make for new people.

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

11th century norse viking .... Most of the stuff I have seen is sweet but way out of price range , I will have to look at kits. I love the helms from knotwolf, two ravens and sham rock armories and a few people who post here like hjmals( sorry if I misspelled it) for armour I will be using bazubands(hidden under tunic), shovel greaves, and a kidney belt, I am working on a staniless steal 16g1/4 inch chainmail Bernie, all armour will be covered in one fashion or another

Re: WTB helm
Ruthardis is an excellent entry level helm maker with a great price break. He offers something most entry helms don't have, a touch of style rather than the plain jane bascinet or spangen.
If you go the route of getting a kit, make sure to link up with a local armourer to help you along. They may also have some specialty tools that will make assembly easier. The tools aren't required but they do make things easier, both on fingers and the vocabulary that comes out.
Where are you located?
