Hi,

In order to fund new & different projects, I've decided to sell the Lamellar I just made.

It has 498 "D" plates and 20 Center plates .062 6061 T6, It has Leather edging and a woven chain edge treatment in the 7 strand 550 cord used to lace it. Side opening design with 6 sturdy antiqued buckles and 1" latigo straps with treatments.

It will fit up to a MAX 52" chest, measured over your padding and should provide coverage for a person 5'8" to 6' tall.

Ok.... after seeing lots of views and no PM's .... I started checking around and found that Ebay has suits with larger tombstone plates that can be had with shipping for $569.99

So that means my price is too high even though this one has more, smaller plates and more lacing time.

I have c.$300 in materials and 18 hours of time into it...

I don't think your price is necessarily too high.

I think your selling a piece of armor that 'most' people who would consider buying it would completely take apart and put back together again with a lacing color that's not blue. There's a lot of fashion Divas on the Archive (I'm one of them), and blue is going to clash with a lot of kits.

It's no biggie.... if no one likes blue I'll simply keep it for myself.

If someone wants different colors I'm more than happy to make them another set with the plates, lacing and trim they desire.

Usually when I make stuff, I do the first one for myself but still offer it for sale... you never know, someone may like it enough to buy or trade for it... then I have the proceeds to invest in materials for another one... or something else.

I think with a couple hundred views in just a couple days, it has piqued interest at least. I'll leave it up for another week before I take it off.

Took it to fighter practice today and it lasted all of 10 minutes. Sold for $450 + a large MS Zweihammer Valsgard.
