My archer's lamellar cuirasse for sale on eBay! Low starting

Post by Gaston »

Last of my archery kit, new piece I only wore to two events.

eBay Item #1000356173
To encourage bidding I started the bid at only $20.00. That's not a typo, twenty, I said, twenty, dollars.

I bid on it and I got the following message:

"Attention Sellers:
eBay does not permit the listing of items associated with notorious murders -- please make sure that this listing is permitted on eBay by reading the complete offensive items policy here: "

First time I've ever seen this kind of message. What did you do, Gaston? ;-)

Beats me. There are 3 bids on it, though, you might try again. Please let me know if it doesn't work this time.

Um, no... I went and bid, and it really does post a disclaimer. The only reason I can think of this is because it's being sold under 'Weird Stuff'. Gaston, maybe contact them and find out WTF?!

It does indeed say that, but.... if you scroll down a little bit then you can still confirm/place your bid.

Well, it won't come close to fitting me, but I can't let that be sold for $58.

Thank you!

I always start an auction low, since it is afterall an AUCTION, not a retail sale.

Sometimes I think folks equate price with quality, and won't bid a reasonable amount. Most of the time, though, I get a fair price if not a great one.
