I've been thinking about getting a pen. I need to upgrade from my sword to something a little mightier.

In all honesty, the pen was a cool surprise when I got one, it's actually right here on my desk, but it's just a ball point. What I really liked was the ruler.

Did we send rulers at one time too? I dont remember ordering any but about once a month I used to get a package from National Pen with some new advertisement idea or another. Whatever they sent i usually just threw into a customers box, so that may be where that came from. lol

Well, If we werent in the process of buying a new house and building a new shop closer to the grandbabies, Id probably order some of those pens today. lol As it is they'd probably show up here during the move and get lost lol Im hoping we can have all the family over to have Thanksgiving in the new house, but we will see..

BTW before I start a panic, I wont be selling this shop until well after the new one is built, and movers will be moving the whole thing in one day and setting it up just like last time, so I wont be out of pocket or shut down. Last time I moved someone started a panic even though i will actually be closed for less time than when I go fishing lol.

Stonekeep is amazing to work with. I bought a set of splinted arms from him as a newbie. He was more than helpful in advising me on sizing and after my order was placed he came back and said, "The arms are really nice, don't you want a crease in the fan to go with it?" (I had chosen practically every upgrade but a creased fan). I said sure and he added it in for free. Amazing guy, great gear. The only reason I don't have them any more was financial reasons and I don't think their new owner ever sold them.

I agree with the one spot that could be seen as terse, but his reaction to it was not called for. I've only done business with you once, a long time ago (about 10 years ago) but when I did do business it was very smoothly handled, and you even combined shipping with my roommate when we won two separate eBay auctions, which shows a willingness to work with your customers. Due to a long, recently ending hiatus from heavy fighting, and currently limited funds, I haven't done any business with you since, but it is not due to any of your business practices (other than wanting money for stuff, seriously what's up with that?)

Yes, it was nice that you completed my spaulders order in two days, and yes, it was nice that you didn't charge for the extra lames, and yes, it was nice that you sent it priority mail without charging extra - BUT THERE WAS NO DAMN PEN IN THE BOX!!!!

All I can say is that Jackie *BETTER* be tossing a pen in the box when my helm is finished.... otherwise I'll never buy another custom helm from him again.

Now I know why Yojimbo sold me all those Ebonwoulfe lamellar plates.... B*stard kept the pen!

Yea, I'm thinking the slowdown in armor sales has nothing to do with the economy and everything to do with ballpoint pens, or the lack thereof lmao

Hey Mike,

Where do you get those cool pens made anyway? If that is the secret to turning around this economy, I am in for a couple of gross.

How much do I have to order in order to get a pen? I ordered spaulders in the past- no pen. That guy over there ordered soupcan knees and he didn't get one either. What's the order cap start at, so I know it?

Hey Frank, I always ordered mine from National Pen. They make all kinds of promotional stuff, but obviously peoiple like pens the best lol

Paladin, when we had them, every order automatically got a pen. There was a period of two to three years we had 3000 of them before we ran out. We ran out about the time the economy crashed. Way things have been i could order 300 to last a year lol

I think we are glossing over the real reason for this thread...and that is more armorers need Corporate swag.

think of it, Ice Falcon can cozies, Stone Keep Frisbees, Raymond's Quiet Press Book marks, hjalmr coffee mugs, Viking Leather works Mouse Pads.

the possibilities are endless.

Well it wasnt exactly the real reason for the thread...lol But it has turned into an enlightening thread on marketing, cause apparently the pens were an extremely big hit with customers. lol
