In-Stock Shield bosses.

Post by Mad Matt »

Well I'm hoping to have about 8 or 9 ready by monday. Price is $25 plus shipping each and you get a price break if you buy 6 or more they're $20 each. Plus shipping.

They're 14 gauge mild steel. Satin finish. 8" overall diameter 1" flange 6" dia. dished area 2" deep.

Basically it's first come first served. There's enough time for you to get em by pennsic but you'll have to hurry. So if you want one or some put your request down here in this thread. It'll go by the order people post on who gets em. I'll post again on Monday to let you all know exactly how many I have.

Put me down for 1 tentative, can you give me a quote on shipping to Alberta, postal code T9A 2Y7, US postal service, no UPS, these bastards charge a fortune in brokerage fees. I'll confirm if shipping isn't too steep.

Thanks

Tallosh: I'm Canadian. If you want I'll do the conversion on Monday so you can pay in CDN$. Or you can get a US$ money order from the Post office. I'll check on the shipping it'll probably be a little less then to the US. It'll be Canada Post. Surface is the cheapest. I'll have to check and see how long it'll take. Probably'll be $4 US for surface but like I said I'll have to check.

Guess I forgot to mention Shipping to anywhere within the US is $5 for surface (takes 2 weeks) $7 for air (takes 1 week) for each boss.

Morgan: There are some pics in the accessories section of my site but they're fairly old. The ones I'm making now are deeper, the line around the flange is much crisper. Basically they're better all around. I'll try to remember to bring a couple in to work on Monday and take some pics.

Fergus: I won't recieve the e-mail untill Monday. This is one of the rare ocasions I'm online at home. So there's about a billion e-mails waiting on my home address. That's ok though since the address in my profile and the one on my site are my work address. So basically I'll get your e-mail and respond to it on Monday.

Things are going fairly well so far. I have 10 bosses finished although 6 of them were already ordered before this. So I've got 4 ready now and hope to get another 5 or 6 done tomorrow. If my arms hold up that is.

I'm interested in one of those shield bosses. Just one. :-) It's all I can afford and I mostly want it in case I can't dish my own (I'm having a hard time getting a ride to get some sheet metal, it will NOT fit in my car unless I have it cut into little tiny pieces, the problems of owning an old 2 door).

Took pics with the digicam I'm not used to and the pics came out horrible. Anyway the other one is back now but the net access is gonna shut down in minutes. So I'll get the pics tomorrow.

Ok well here's the pics. Seems I just can't take good pictures anymore. The bosses do look a bit better in real life.

Maybe I shoulda degreased it before I took the pics.

Anyway I did alter the brightness a little but no other alterations. The brightness alteration was to make the picture look more like real life and not to make it look better then real.

The boss in the pics was chosen randomly.

I'll try to stop by the post office tonight and check the Canadian shipping prices.

Ok well the shipping is the same within Canada.

But it's faster I think.

So if you get a US$ money order from the post office it should be in the amount of $30 USD per shield boss.

That translates to roughly $45 CDN. So the other alternative is to send CDN funds totaling $45. This is limited to Canadian Residents only. Personal cheques are acceptable but will have to wait to clear before I ship. I think it's either one or two weeks to clear a Canadian cheque.

Muttman is waiting to see if any of you decide not to order or if Morgan only wants one so if you could just confirm or deny ASAP that would be good. I'm gonna go send everyone an e-mail.
