i was having a look through the threads and came across a guy selling 100 plates for ~$24
and am UN-able to find him again. so if anybody could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

SS stainless steel. Lamellar is cool, but I've always been a little put off by the time required to assemble it.

Www.plasticlamellar.com and there are vendors here on the boards that sell steel and leather lamellar as well
And yes it takes some time to lace up

It does take some time. But keep in mind that you can assemble while watching TV in your living room.
