quickie viking pic

Post by white mountain armoury »

i was needed at a demo today so yesterday i threw together a fast viking-esque harness for the event, i made the helmet to add to my in stock stuff, ill prob shave 15 bucks of it since i fought in it, but hey now it has a nice chin strap.
the maille shirt is a whopping 45 lbs and was a bear to fight in, i made the hidden shoulders elbows and vams as well as the hidden sternum protection last night and am very pleased with how they worked out. oh yeah i made the belt last night as well, all in all i thought it was an ok attempt, sadly now its time to part it all out, im a Britt damn it, viking even for a day is to long for me Image

The smirch of being a Viking is never washed out.

Your a Viking for good now, lad.
You can deny it to yourself all you want...But deep in your heart of hearts there is a need to go pillage every coastal farm in England come next spring....

Embrace your Svenness.
Feel the force..of the longship beneath you.

Give in to your greed....And sing...

In the Vikings
You can sail the seven seas

In the Vikings
You can pillage as you please

In the vikings
Go on loot a foreign land

In the vikings
It's your own High King's command

Chorus:
They want you
They want you
they want you In the long-ship crew!

Sorry...couldn't resist.

Yeah, ya lucky bastard!!! Some of us spend YEARS trying to assemble a kit like that!!! Damn you, anyhow. Threw it together in a DAY

*spits*

Why part it out? Why not Give it all to some worthy person? AHEM!

Seriously, though. Where did you get that cloak? Are you looking to part with that, too? It really looks baddass - crimson & black. What's that appliqued on the inside?

What do you want for the helm? Do you have a big head? I really need a new one. All my helms are too small. (I won't tell you how that happened.)

the shirt is to heavy to fight in as much as i love it, i like the helm but its not my personna, the cloak it what itentifies my slowing growing melee unit so i wont part with those, vams belt shoulders and simple wingless elbows are all items i make regularly.
you can see the helmet and its price on my page. i may shave a couple of bills from it since i wore it once, but not alot since i strapped it.
It would fit a 23/23 in head nicely, would not seem huge on a smaller head, mine is 24 in and the hat fits great.

Love the kit, man! It sounds like the maille weighs about what mine will when finished!
Sasha, that's the best version of that Odin- cursed, disco bondage song I've ever heard! I love it! Keep it up!
Have fun folks!

You'll always be a Viking now, no matter how hard you try to say you're not. Great Kit! If I get my bonus you'll be seeing some of it before my wife does Image
