FS: Wood and leather Anglo concertina $60
I played and owned high quality concertinas for awhile. But gave up playing awhile ago. I just play tin whistle and Native American flutes only.
All my top-quality professional-level concertinas, and antiques, I sold years ago.
Found this lower-end concertina recently. 9 folds, leather and wood. In very good shape and suprisingly good playing for a lower end piece. Period to the 1800's...lol...but around a campfire who cares....It is rugged, all wood and leather, and much better playing (and looking!) than the cheap celluloid ones. But, of course, it is not a high-grade concertina. Think of it as a very high grade instrument in the low quality league of concertinas...lol The action is surprisingly good. And it has that old Civil War look and feel to it. Selling super cheap. Good instrument to act as an introduction to concertinas-- to see if u really want to get into the higher end models. Tablature of folk songs is readily available for Anglo concertinas, simple to play, and you don't need to know how to read music or be a great musician 'by ear' to tap out some simple classic folk songs around the camp fire...

it is a 2 row anglo, so not full scale.
been playing concertinas for years but don't know what a 'valve count' is...tell me how to check and i will!

20 button anglo--so 20 valves---40 notes total
different note on the 'push' than on the 'pull'...
it is the highest quality of the low end concertinas...lol
it's a steal i just threw it on here to pass on to somebody
made in germany but an oddity in that it is better quality than most of those low-level Chinese and East German ones...
open to trades as well

Valve count is the number of valves to reed apertures. Typically concertinas have one or two, accordilons 1-4, and accordions 1-6, but weirdness does happen.
This is going to sound incredibly odd, but does your phone take any video? Any possibility of hearing a half scale?

Re: FS: Wood and leather Anglo concertina $60
i will see what i can do for sound example
this was really mean to just be a 'give away' to an amatuer or someone new to concertina--who could enjoy it, play around with it, and./or for an experienced player to carry to re-enactments (like Civl War) camping, etc. without worrying about damaging their good concertinas
as i said, it is a rarity of good quality in the low quality area..
