Mild Steel- Any interest?

Post by Duke Icefalcon »

I have become aware of a shortage and backlog of mild steel armorers. I am considering producing some mild steel armor again. Of course the armor will still be our high quality materials and workmanship. The only difference is that it will be mild steel and be about half the price of our stainless armors..

Anyone interested?

I will have to get some prices together and then we will start taking orders for mild steel armor. This new armor will be made with our same patterns and will be exactly like our stainless products in that they will still be strapped and put together with quality hardware. The only difference is that it will be in mild steel and will come standard with a brush finish . The prices will be about half of what the stainless price is. I will post to this list when we have a mild steel price list together, which will be shortly...

Sir Andreas, you will probably find a big jump in sales now. most new people looking at armour only look at the prices and when they see yours they move on... not REALLIZING its a good price for good stainless armour.

best of luck in mild Image

I think yopu'll get alot of interest.
Honestly. I've stopped by your booth many times when you've been out here at events in Caid.

The only thing that stopped me was the price. Actually it was the fear of what my wife would do to me when she found out how much I paid for said piece of armour.

Sorry guys.. but NO ONE makes armour good enough to stand up to that battle! Image

Thank you Wolf. Working stainless is a big pain in the ass, but worth it in the end. It lasts longer and is maintenance free.

I will start taking orders for mild steel armor and may even start working in some spring steel. The mild will be about half the cost of stainless. Spring will be about the same as stainless, as it is a bitch to work as well.

Abbadon- I will do the legs and greaves together for $875 in stainless, or $450 for mild.

Send me a message if anyone wants anything and I will start purchasing the mild steel.

I too have noted the usatisfied demand for mild steel items, that's why I just wrapped up the cutting out of $19K worth of stock to accomodate the demand.

Andreas, I think they're be a great demand for the spring steel. Armour of adequate wieght and protection with decent cost will be great. I look forward to it.

Sir Andreas; If I might make one small suggestion. I’ve seen a pair of your stainless ¾ legs on a buddy of mine. I was impressed with the workmanship, looks and articulation. However if I remember right, they were shipped with the leather strapping all held on with brass “snapâ€

We had a problem with our leather dealer giving us less than desireable hinge leather. The rivets pulled through the leather. We have since changed our leather provider and stepped up to a much higher grade leather. We have not had any problems since the fix.. Thank you for you input! Image

I love that quote.... I tell it to myself after every fighter practice Image I know it's the Marine's new slogan but I wonder if they'd mind if other people use it too...
