Well, if you're ever over..... or I make it to Pennsic, I'd be delighted to cross blades. But I'm old, slow, grey and fat.....

"Communities" vary tremendously by kingdom. I would guess that mid- and low-level rapier fighters might vary quite a bit in their "mediocrity" among, e.g., Atlantia, Ansteorra, Atenveldt, the Midrealm, the East Kingdom, Trimaris, etc.

Further, top-level fighters of any discipline are supposed to *lead* their community. Set standards, set examples, discourage whining and lack of effort. It's been done in my kingdom, it can be done everywhere.
