War of the Roses harness for sale
War of the Roses harness for sale
Due to troubles coming not as single spies but in battalions I am going to be selling my WoR harness, which I have not even personally got to hang on my body all at the same time. Some details:
14 and 16 gauge mild steel
made by Illusion Armoring, see their website for general pictures; it's the Burgundian with modifications such as:
Authentic triangular rolls along most of the edges of the armour; shaped wrap-around greaves, floating elbows, fancy scallops along the edges of the faulds, rose-head rivits in certain areas; Italian sallet with visor; bevor is articulated with fancy scallops and a spring-catch; fancing fluting here and there overall (not too much, just enough to be really cool); breastplate has removable lance rest; includes: sallet, bevor, breast/back w/faulds and tassets, spaulders, besagews, arms w/floating elbows, full greaves, and upper legs with a stepped and scalloped guard on the knee.
Price: $2200, I originally paid $2800, and as I said it's never been worn. For those truly interested, I can send a ton of pictures via email, just drop me a line at gpkyle@bellsouth.net
Also, if anyone is interested, I also have for sale:
My hauberk, still need $300 (but what a deal!) Even the cheap ones at MRL are $250, and they don't have full-length tapered arms, knee-length, or integral coif as this one does. (pics available)
Medieval sword, brass pommel, leather wrapped handle, w/leather scabbard and white doeskin tie belt (pics available), $200.
Thanks,
Glen

Hey Glen Long time no see. Jason, former squire in Knights of Pendragon, moved out west here. Sorry to hear troubles arew coming in battalions. If you end up piecing it out I might be interested in the Sallet & Bevor. Did the wrist ever heal up?
Take care

Sorry its taken long to get back.
Murdock, as you can see I'm unfortunately getting out of the WoR business.
Jason/Marshal, yea, the wrist is mostly better but still not quite what it was. I wonder if it ever will be, but it's pretty close.
I'm probably not going to piece this harness out, as it is really a designed-together set. Thomas, I had it designed for me when I was 5'11" and 190 lbs. I've gained a few lbs since then and it still fits my body fine.
So, if anyone is still interested, give me a call/email.
