Harbor Freight mini English Wheel for sale
Hello all
This is the mini bench top version of Harbor Freight's English Wheel. It's a discontinued item, I got the last one they had on the shelf 3 years ago. Includes all dies, most unopened, as well as some u-brackets for mounting. I used it once but it just wasn't the tool I thought I needed for the project. This sale will be auction-style. Opening bid is $75. Bids may be in the form of posts on this thread only, no PMs. Auction will run until 8pm Pacific time, Friday the 7th. Winner will pay actual shipping costs. For scale, there's a perf-plate basinet visor behind it. Payment must be made within 24 hours to my PayPal account.

EDIT: Auction has been extended to 8pm Pacific time, December 14th
Thanks!

damn. I want it, but coming up with the money in your time frame depends on how fast the check for my last helm gets here. Ill keep you posted, assuming no one else beats me to it.

Oldschool auto body panel creation for the most part. Motorcycle and artwork a close second. Could be used on Armour thought I am not sure what gauge the HF version is rated for. They are neat tools!

If I had one, I would use the hell out of it for bouging and planishing, but not much at all for forming.
Add me to the list of people who would be bidding if I could sell something.

Stuff I will trade for: PWM controllers, steel sheet/rod/bar (4130/410/1050/toolsteel), ITC, casting supplies, wood tools, silver, oxpho blue, gun stuff (9luger/357mag/12g/7.62x54R/22LR), hammers, stakes, or pitch me!

Re: Harbor Freight mini English Wheel for sale
It can't very well as designed BUT if you put in a removeable cross-brace to shorten the throat it will work much better. A basic Elbow or Knee is a lot smaller then a fender body so you don't need all the space they provide.James Anderson III wrote:If it can handle 16 gauge, I'm in at $75 opening bid
If I wasn't hoping to pack up my shop and move I'd be bidding myself.

Re: Harbor Freight mini English Wheel for sale
I used it for bouging/planishing 18 gauge stainless, which is about the equivalent toughness of 16 gauge mild steel. It seemed to do the job just fine, but I ultimately decided that for the amount of armour I make (which is really almost none these days), I may as well do it the old fashioned way.
Since there are a couple of folks interested in it but having a hard time managing the time frame, I'm willing to push the date out some. My main thing is that I don't want to close the auction and be sitting around waiting forever for a payment that may or may not come. Would 8pm December 14th help?

Eric, the links are dead. Please post the photos elsewhere.
I am interested as I do kit for rebated steel. 18 stainless makes up about 2/3 of the plates.

Very Interested!!! Just need to know where the item would ship from as shipping costs could be heavy to Canada.

Hi all
Shipping will be from zip code 98926. I'll try to get a weight on it asap.
Sorry about the links being down, seems to be a problem with my website's server. I'll post when it's solved!

Thorfinn, where in Canada are you? Victoria or Vancouver, by chance?

Okay. If you won, how soon do you need it? I have to make a trip to Victoria at some point, but not sure when I'll be able to afford to. Just another possible option.

I don't mind holding on to it if you win. I may also be in Vancouver in February, so one way or another we can find a way to get it to you that doesn't necessarily have to involve big shipping costs.

Re: Harbor Freight mini English Wheel for sale
I'm now interested but I really need an accurate weight and box size.
USPS is telling me a 35 lb box measuring 30x30x12 going from WA to VA is going to cost over $100 parcel post.
Even UPS ground is almost $80.

Wow, way higher than I expected. Would like to know for an accurate shipping quote too. I've sent things larger than that and heavier than that for half the cost.schreiber wrote:I'm now interested but I really need an accurate weight and box size.

Ok, sorry this took so long. UPS ground in the lower 48 states should max at $45. Widest dimension is 24". Since it took me so long to get this info, auction is extended one more day to 8pm, December 15th. Thanks!
