So for whatever reason at work tonight it popped into my head that I ordered legs from someone. Like eight years ago. This would have been the last day or two of Pennsic 2005 at night. If memory serves, it was cuisses and knees out of steel, munitions grade, nothing fancy - about $150. I wrote you check and it was 1/2 down 1/2 on delivery. I was told a 8 week wait? And I think I may have received an email around Christmas/New Years about them. I then proceeded to move and drop out of the SCA. Which would be why I never followed up, and you were never able to find me. I feel bad that I did this. I'm trying to clear things up, pay old debts, etc and thought of this. I know it's a long shot, but if I ordered legs off of you let me know, I'd like to right a wrong. I gave my word, and then backed out.
My name is Erin Hagmaier. I believe I would have said I lived in Colorado Springs - but maybe Ohio? (I moved a lot that during that time frame) Does this ring a bell?

I salute you for your honesty, and offer a suggestion: see if you can find a merchant listing for Pennsic in '05 somewhere on the internets and see which armorers had booths that year. Seeing their names and wares may jog your memory, or you could get their contact info and e-mail your inquiry to them directly. Even if the available record doesn't go back 7 years, most of the armorers selling in the last year or two were probably there in '05 as well.

Huzzah for doing this!
But also if you gave him 50% cash, and never got the armor, then it might not have been the most convenient for the armorer but he/she probably has gone on to sell those legs, and still has your 50% down cash, so i am betting the armorer is cool with getting a 50% cash down and keeping the armor and selling to someoen else...
i mean that is what they mean by non-refund deposit right?
