Can't emphasize enough to learn the proper body mechanics before anything else, regardless of size--otherwise you're just going to have to unlearn.
I second the importance of armouring properly. Learn to block sky wraps (coming down to hit you in the back of the head), especially if the local fashion leans towards infighting.
One local fighter mentioned to me that he marks his pell for people in several sizes.
I still remember my first time in armour (against Sir Deitrich--maybe 5'2", tops)--all I can remember is a disembodied sword hitting me repeatedly. He was hiding behind my shield.
At 6'3", I'm about the average height fighter up here (there's taller, and shorter), and one of the lighter ones.
What about us little dudes?

Be a team player and help your fellow larger fighters lose weight by moving around alot. Bounce in and out of range to entice em to swing them hamhock arms. Move sideways...its takes great feats to move a mountain, even more to turn one! But the most important tip I can give a small fighter.....dont be the first layer of the dead pile. Nothing is more horrifying then seeing a 500 ton duke collapse on ya...well other then seeing another 500 ton duke collapse ontop of him.
