Uls
I'd already called it

But if you need it for a current project, I can pass up on it. It would be for a future project for me, nothing immediate.

Oh, hadn't seen that. My mistake. They'll be for largesse, so if the original fellow wants them, it won't kill me. The besagew will probably go the same route, though it's pretty enough I'm considering (no, I'm serious here) making it into a piece of jewelry for my lady. A hair bit or something. Or I'll find someone who does the gothic thing. Who knows.

Hmmm. Make you a deal Uilliam. Write a short poem about a spearwoman in the SCA (Iambic Pentameter would be awesome, but totally not required) and I'll totally let you have the breastplate straps. Thoughts?

I could totally see that as art.
Also yes I am ready to strap a chest and back together and the straps are all I need!
Hope my little prose was enough...
I could try again...

I liked the poem. I was hoping you'd make it funny though. I think if I told this one to the spear woman I had in mind, she'd break my arms....I just don't know if she'd drag me to her tent first or not. Terrifying either way......
Liked it a lot though.

There once was a woman of spear
Who liked to poke guys in the rear
I was one of the boys who got stung
So when she took to field my head I kept hung
I would hide behind shield or fade to the side
Remembering again her spear in my hide
I tell the tale different, while down at the pub
How gentle it felt like a rub a dub dub
I would go kick her ass with my sword
Except I know I’d be bored
So the story continues but all the boys know
I run like hell when her face she does show
But wouldn’t you yourself hide in the grass
From the woman who stuck her great spear in your ass?
A gerbil on PCP is of tactical advantage if you know how to use it right.
This is my piece of list field and you can have it when you pry it from my cold dead hands(facebook, Lori Caelwaerts sca heavy combat list)
You, sir, are an enabler and you suck. I just had a promissory for a garb sale, so what the hell, I'll take the belt and the matching garters. Am I lucky enough to get it shipped in the same box as the camail, or has that already gone out?
I got the camail yesterday. My 5-year-old was very excited to see the box opened. Now there's just the matter of choosing which helmet it should marry...
