Thanks guys. I *will* entertain serious offers for this, or even a trade for something tantalizing made out of metal, be it armor or weaponry...

Totally unable to even ponder purchasing an item like that right now, but I have to say Wow!

Re: FS: Rather Crazy Heater Shield $500!
Ba-da-bump! You'll seriously never get a shield this details for the same money. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to get someone to make guige straps as detailed for this kind of money...

By the way, this really needs to go so that I can start paying off my student loans more rapidly. I want to thank Congress from the bottom of my heart for doubling the interest on my $30,000 debt. They have done me and society at large a great favor.

Yeah... I'm about to go into that scenario myself, so the prospect is less than wonderful. Could be worse, though - my cousin, through a series of university transfers, managed to get herself a BA that cost her nearly $250,000 in debt.Gerhard von Liebau wrote:By the way, this really needs to go so that I can start paying off my student loans more rapidly. Anyway, best of luck with the sale - it's an astoundingly beautiful piece of work. I'm just happy you didn't stamp a wolf on there, or my bank account would be in serious trouble!

Bump! I'm very interested in getting this to a home where it will be appreciated. The only place I have to store it right now is on the floor in the corner of a cramped room... Cheers!

I really would like to hang that piece in my hall but right now funds are tight. Any progress on our project?

Beautiful work Gerhard! I would love to know your technique for doing the floral work on the one strap, my attempts haven't turned out any where as nice.
Good luck on the sale.

Re: FS: Crazy "Imperial" Heater Shield c. 1300
I had a potential buyer for this but we worked out something else with his down payment, so it's back up for sale! REALLY want to get this thing out the door so I have room to store more in progress goodies!

I am tempted, for a special purpose, but I am hesitant because the person to whom I would give it tends to be uncommunicative with me.
He who does not give what he has will not get what he wants.

I wish I could have kept it around for Crossroads, Jehan! Though I may have to anyway if it doesn't sell. I'm about to start another shield, so perhaps I'll bring that... That be a secret one for now!

Re: FS: Crazy "Imperial" Heater Shield c. 1300
Ba, da, bump! Someone wants this shield... Yes? Alas, I cannot get any more reasonable with the price. It took nearly 75 hours to build and $500 is my best offer!
