Arming clothes wanted!

Post by Michael Cartwright »

Salutations to the archive,

I am looking for a supplier of late 14th Century arming clothes suitable for BOTN but I can't use an American supplier due to the shipping rates (sorry but they are just too damn steep.)

I am looking for-

a liner for my basinet with the brim that covers the neck and shoulders.

A gambison

A pourpoint

Padded hose

Now the main stipulation is suitability for BOTN and the robustness of its construction also a quick delivery would be good too! I'm also interested in a supply of arming points too.

Venders, if you can reply directly into this thread it would be appreciated as I know there are other people looking for the same items.

Kind regards

Michael De Aston

I really like Forge of Svan for a gamebson. They also make padded hose and I've talked to them about making a pourpoint. They said they'd be willing to. I know they're out of Ukraine, but shipping was pretty good, the prices were great and the quality was good.

For my simple gambeson, it ended up being almost exactly $120 shipped.

I think that I can send you a gamby via parcel post, which is dirt cheap. If it weighs less than 4 lbs, it's a go.
