FS Mertcailor, Arms,Legs,Knees Elbows
I have for sale a pair each of late 14/15th century arms and legs and a pair each of the 14th c. elbows and knees w/rodels and brass buckles we used to make.
The legs are made from 16 gauge CR steel, with an outwardly rolled top edge of the cuisse and beveled plate edges where appropriate. The crease of the wing on the knee copps has a little decorative file work and they come with hand made buckles and steel holders with light decorative file and chisel work. There are leather tabs at the top of the cuisse with two sets of eyelets for pointing. The pair has full length medial ridges and double wrap plates on steel hinges. These have plenty of hyper extension. I was the model for them and am thouroughly average with 23 1/2 inch thighs ( the hinged wrap plates allow for size variation ), 17 1/2 inch knees and measure 33 1/2 inches from the bridge of the ankle to the point where the thigh bends at the pelvis and they fit me fine. I'd like to get $230.00 for plus shipping ( which is less than I charged for the original pair ).
The arms are made from 16 gauge CR steel, with an outwardly rolled top edge rebrace and bracer cuff and beveled plate edges where appropriate. The crease of the wing on the knee cops has a little decorative file work and they come with hand made buckles and steel holders with light decorative file and chisel work. There are leather tabs at the top of the rebrace with two eyelets for pointing. The bracers turn in slots in the manner of the " Voght of Match " armour in Churburg ( also shown close up in TOMAR ) and all the rest of the plates are slot riveted as well. The bracers are 8 1/8 inches long and have a max circumference of 15 1/2 inches at the fore arm and 10 5/8 inches at the wrist and is adjustable. They fit me fine and i'm thouroughly average with 14 1/2 inch biscepts and arms that are 23 inches from the ball of the shoulder to the wrist. They bend fully through the range of the arm and have plenty of hyperextension . I'd like to get $165.00 for the pair ( less than we used to charge for them with cast buckles and regular non turning bracers ) plus shipping. I can add buckles to the leather tabs with eyelets for attaching to a strap rather than pointing at no extra charge if desired.
Both elbows and knees are made from 16 gauge CR steel with a medial ridge, are lined with leather and have 1/4 inch of cotton batting padding between the leather and steel. Elbows and knees both have eyelets set on either side to allow for pointing and are strapped as well, including hand made brass buckles and steel strap ends with light decorative file and chisel work. The rondels on the elbows are 4 1/4 inches, those on the knees are 5 inches. I am 17.5 inches at the knee and 12 3/4 inches around the elbow and these fit me fine. I'd like to get $67 plus shipping for the knees and $62 plus shipping for the elbows which is a good bit less than we used to sell these for. I can also alter the curvature for size a bit if needed as well.
I alos still have the gorget here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=162170 and these arms viewtopic.php?f=3&t=162217 and pair of espauliers viewtopic.php?f=3&t=161659

Oh, these are nice. Too bad I'm making a later period kit.
