need leather project ideas...

A few years ago I ordered some leather from Tandy and received what they called "sole, shield, and armour leather" instead. I thought I might find some use for it, but its been sitting there gathering dust. Its about 12 oz. and extremely stiff.

So, any ideas on what non armour leather projects this would be useful for?

edit to add: I tend to prefer the late 15th century, Germany.

That's sole-bend, and it's a rollered, compressed leather intended for hard wear and nothing but. Don't expect to tool it hardly. The stuff is all function and no art.

By itself it makes pretty good demigaunts.

Eh I was just thinking of making some purely functional items. Leather tooling just doesnt interest me.

Sell or trade it to someone making heavy armour or soled shoes. Its pretty much useless for anything else.
