The last elk antler belt knife auction-sold

Post by Ironbadger »

Auction ended.

Thanks all.

This was made several months ago, but I was holding it for someone.

He reluctantly had to give up dibs, so I am offering it for sale here.

The very last of the antique steel, and a pieced elk antler tine grip.
(1/8th inch thick carbon steel, razor sharp. Rough mirror polished.)

It has a full tang, so its solid as a rock.

Brass hardware.

The blade is 5 1/4 inches long, about 9 inches overall.
Really sweet little knife, and its only for sale because the privately offered deal did not work out.

I cannot make any more like this, so if you wanted one of these...Better get it now.
I can't afford to use elk tine this nice unless I get rather lucky in getting more, either.

We'll run this auction till Monday, so 4 days.

Opening bid is $75. Buy it now for $90
Buy it now goes away after the first bid.

$15 should cover insured shipping to the US.
I cannot ship antler to foreign countries due to import/export issues, sorry.

Payment by paypal due within three days of end of auction.

What is the ring in the handle? Is it two antler sections?

Yes, its two pieced sections matched and fitted on the tang.
The tang is quite thick and solid, so theres no strength issues to worry about.
