This is one I had been doing for myself a while back...buy we're getting ready to close on a house and I need tile and carpet more than I need another knife!

Addicted to seax...
Sometimes I feel like I should smoke a cigarrette after finishing one Image!

This one goes out to Warren, he emailed me a couple hours before Ivar. But, the thing about seax is...once you've done it, you just gotta do it some more! I have several more planned in the not-so distant future. I have to finish up all outstanding projects first this month. Hopefully I'll still have some shop time after that before I tear down for the move (new house, new shop..twice the size!).

Well, I'm actually making progress on past due projects. I still plan on having all outstanding projects completed before we close on the new house on July 1st. Cleaning the shop up has uncovered some older unfinished projects.

Scheduled to be worked on/finished this Summer...hopefully some before I have to tear down the shop in order to move! Interested in something, email me. Unfinished pieces can still be custom tailored. No deposits, no promises, no delivery dates, they'll be ready to ship when finished, they'll be finished when done... The plan is by mid August for the half done items.

As usual...click for the big pics....

A baselard dagger with purple heart wood handle, brass/copper mokume gaurd with stainless spacer, 14" claycoated/quenched blade 1050 steel (the scanner didn't pick up much of the activity in the blade...just my fingerprints!). All it needs is the pommel which will be another mokume piece.

Another baselard...handle yet to be determined, probably bone...I'm thinking something similar to small rondels or possibly a dog-eared style handle. 3-steel combo. It still needs to be smoothed out/finish sanded and re-etched. Really colorful design.

A pair of utility/drop-point skinner cable-damascus knives. I plan on ebony and zircote for the handles and some sort of mosaic (end-on cable heat blued?) for the gaurds/endcaps. blade: imp, imp plowshare cable(1095) about 5".

And of course...a japanese tanto Image! 1095 steel with a pretty neat hamon. Blade length about 10"

I'll have a 12" bladed seax, (bone handle, brass/stainless fittings) and maybe a wakizashi, (they wouldn't fit on the scanner) sometime in the not too distant future.

Oh yeah...a few axes also, but not until Fall Image !

Hopefully I got all the UBB code and URLs right the first time!

Krag,

I'd like first refusal on the utility / zircote when it gets finished if you'd be so kind. I like the lines of the blade in the picture. My email is in my profile.
