German/ gothic armour for sale.

Post by condottiere »

***I have pics, but no means of posting them. I can Email pics if someone would be willing to post them for me.*** Thanks***

I have a cuirass, bevor, and full legs with cased greaves that I'd like to sell. All are stainless and were made by Illusion Armoring. All pieces are Illusion's high gothic armour. Pieces include:

-a breast and back= w/ fauld and culet, fluting, 2 piece breast, 4 piece back
-a bevor
-high gothic legs= extend high onto thigh, each made of 14 pieces, wrap around "wings" on the poleyns, lots of fluting
-cased/ full wrap greaves w/ center seam

All fitted with handmade stainless buckles and dark brown straps, and all but 2 of the buckles are affixed with stainless "tabs" rather than leather. As said above all in stainless w/ brass rivets. I have had the legs for about 1 month, the cuirass for about 2 weeks, and the bevor for around a year or so. I have worn it on one occasion for less than an hour. It's all in excellent shape. Nothing wrong with any of it. I'm just finished with it (and I'm buying a dirt bike Image)

I am bit small. Around 5'9" and 140lbs. The legs could fit a wide variety of sizes, and the cuirass fits me when strapped at it's tightest so it should be slightly adjustable. The greaves cannot be adjusted. If you are interested let me know and I'll get measurements.
I am initially offering it only as a whole. If there is no interest I will repost to list the individual pieces for sale.

I paid over 2100 for the armour and about 78 for the buckles (I will include all invoices).I would like to get 1800 for it, but will consider reasonable offers.

In addition to the pics that will hopefully be posted I have tons of other pics from all angles, and from inside. If you are interested let me know what you would like to see and I will Email the pics.
Thank you,
James

If selling seperately I would be interested in the encased greaves.

Illusion's site says the legs are all 16Ga. and that the greaves are 18Ga. They don't specify what the cuirass is, but I think the breastplate is 16Ga. and the backplate 18Ga.

Lord William Avery has kindly offered to post my pics and they should be up this evening. I will send further pics to those that request them when I get home this evening. Pics can also be seen on Illusion website. http://illusionarmoring.com/

Sure, 4 more hours and the pics will be up... damn I hate when I think I am getting off early and it DOESN'T happen... and to top it off the pics are in a format that my computer will not read. However, I have ftp'd them here:

If anyone who can read them would be so kind as to convert them to .jpg's I will repost them here.

What is really odd is that I can view the pictures just fine in Outlook Epress on the Mac, but when I download them to my HD and try to open them with any of the image-editing/viewing softwares that I have... nada...

I can't get any pics posted, but I can send them through Email to anyone interested. This is the only time I'll bump this topic, and if I don't get any response it will all go to Ebay in a few weeks. Thanks.
