They are made from the ends of cast iron handweights that I ground, shaped and polished. Then inserted and riveted into 24 inch heavy gas pipe.
(Edited- Most likely cast iron rather than steel...)
The large one is about 2 3/4 inches across.
The smaller one is about 2 inches across.
The smaller stake is a bit flatter in profile than the larger one.
The shafts were stripped and painted with black rustoleum, and screwed into standard galvanized floor brackets.
They are intended to be bolted to a wooden base to use while sitting.
They are nearly identical to the stake I made and have used for 99% of my planishing for the past two to three years.
As I have the other ends, plan to make them into stakes mounted for my bench, and have only a rickety chair I do not trust not to collapse on me if I sit in it while using these, I'd sooner sell them off to recover my out of pocket expense in making them for the trade.
The person I was making the deal with has not logged in since early December, and has not opened the messages I have sent him, so he was given fair warning the deal was off.
His loss is someone else's gain.
I'd like $150 for the pair, plus shipping.
I'll guess add $18 for the shipping in the US.
As heavy as these are, Canada or farther abroad is likely too expensive to be practical....But I could check if someone really wants them.
Trade...
Well, cash is better, but I am looking for a Hanwei Side sword, if someone has one lying around.
(The sharpened one, not the "practical" version.)
Other stuff-
Not sure, but you can always pitch things at me and see if something catches my eye.
