Gambeson machine wash?

Hello I just bought a white gambeson and was wonting to dye it a tan or brown to go more period with my kit could I machine wash it to get the excessive dye out or how would I do this?

Knowing the construction style and material of the gambeson would help but in general machine wash on delicate, spin and air-dry flat on a sweater rack is the safest choice. Once through the wash on warm to dye and twice through on cool to rise the extra dye out should be fine. If the seams in a gambeson can't take a washing machine it's not going to stand up well to fighting but mistreating it while wet might get the padding to clump up and loose it's poofiness.
