I commisioned a long seax of vague requirements. I left the design up to the artist. I had a short turnaround of 5-6 weeks. Badger rose to the challenge. His communication was excellent. The price outstanding. Workmanship was fantastic. Shipping lightning fast. I wanted something functional, good looking, but not art piece that I was afraid to take out of the house. Even with sickness and setbacks he delivered on time and budget. I would definately recomend him and his work.

"The final length of blade is a hair under 20 inches, with a 25 1/2 inch overall length.
The wood is as mentioned the figured Claro walnut. Came out a tad dark, but its beautiful wood.
Very dense and hard.
The steel is from a large sawblade, full carbon steel, with some of the skin left on at the spine for the contrast and character is gives the piece overall.
Architectural bronze fittings- The central band is a solid spacer of bronze, rather than a band wrapped around the middle.
Tang is thick, full and peened.
The blade is razor sharp. I was concerned for durability issues, so its thicker than a normal knife made for cutting chores- More like a sword, but sharper."

I am happy you like it, your Grace.
I am very pleased with how it turned out, and glad as well to hear it got to you in time.
I am sure it will make a few people envious at Gulf wars.
