Recommendation for knees?

Post by Greylond »

I'm looking for a recommendation of styles / armorers for articulated knees. 3 lame? 5 lame? Archer's knees? Poleyns?

I'm shooting for a 14th century transitional harness, but am looking for something quick-and-dirty to get me on the field right now.

Thanks for the advice,

We have 5 lame knees in stock. Check out the economy armor section of our site. Although the armor in this section is less expensive, they are still high quality. We make 3 lame knees as well, but the 5 lame works so much better...

Graylond--
Let's try CLANG's opening page. The last link came up with nothing. Sorry.

The three lame design, I am advised and observe, is more authentic for the 14th century. The five lame designs are more appropriate for 15th century plate armors.

I personally use a five lame design in my own armors because I am an armorer or middling ability who has not yet fully learned the art and skill of armoring and rely on my many lames to prevent gaps.
