Whole buncha stuff for sale.

Post by taltosh »

I'm getting rid of a bunch of stuff to make room in the shop. Here's what I have up for grabs so far.

edited to reflect what's left. As of dec. 14th I'll be giving it another week or so and then delete the thread.

2 conical helms wt nasal, 16ga mild, size small, no grills, unpadded, unstrapped. new and unused asking 80$ each (dropping price to 70$, any takers?)

1 leather scale torso armour, not period, excellent for larp. size large med-heavy weight black leather, nice grain texture. asking 100$

18 ga mild spaulders, 3 lame construction art. on leather, strapped. 45$

small-med sized breastplate, 18ga mild, made using Rainalds globose pattern, neck and side edges rolled, arm holes and bottom flared (start of a roll). My first breastplate, in need of plannishing and finishing touches. Strapped, 50$

maille coif, 16ga galvy, 5/16" butted, with dags. 70$

1 pair of boys or mens turnshoes, 4/5 oz veg tan leather, 14oz sole leather, tunnel stitched with a deerhide liner, dyed brown, fits mens size 7, 50$

18ga mild buckler, 10 1/2" dia. with wire filled rolled edge, leather covered handle, 65$

E-mail at SilverthorneArmoury@telusplanet.net or post your interest here, first come first served. Some of the stuff is pictured on my website (see sig. line) or I can get pics of the other stuff on request.

I preffer Paypal but will take an intl. money order as well, I will also entertain offers of trade items, I'm looking to get outfitted for Nordhere 11th cent. LH at the moment.

Cheers and thanks for looking

I've personally seen & handled the helmets, scale armour, hauberk and coifs, I can vouch that they are well made, good looking items.

I would be VERY interested in the more finished of the breastplates (i.e. the second one you mentioned in your post with the finished edges).I would like to see a pic if possible. Also, what is your idea of small/medium in terms of inches across the chest and length from top to bottom?

The breastplate I measured at 16" top-bottom (from neckline to bottom edge) and 13" wide with a 19" curvature.

Sorry all, I've been away from home for the last 4 days and just got in the door to about 400 e-mails, I'm in the middle of replying.

Isangeles: the elbows were mailed on wed. morning, air mail.

Malcom, e-mail reply sent.

Jon C Webb: Hauberk and coif are still available, let me know where to ship for a quote.

Wayne: Money order arrived, I'll be going to the post office tomorrow to ship out the small scale vest.

Thanks all.

Chris,

Do you still have the turnshoes? How about pictures of them? Are they LH quality, or close to it? Thanks,

Glen

Glen, the turnshoes are still available, I have a few pictures available I can send out to you. They are round toed style, based on the patterns from historical shoe desings. http://www.personal.utulsa.edu/~marc-carlson/shoe/SHOES/SHOE5.HTM i.e. anglo scandinavian 10th - 11th cent.

I'm confident that they would pass muster for LH, at most with a change of lace.

Cheers

Chris
