Anyone interested in a small job refurbishing two basket hilts (for SCA rattan swords, mild steel, welded from round stock, very basic not fancy)?
First basket--One of the mounting tabs snapped off. (I no longer have the tab.) It needs a short piece of bar stock welded on as a replacement.
Second basket--The bars on the back of the hand are bent inward. They're not completely mangled--just bent enough that they touch my half gauntlet, so my hand gets bruised when shots connect with the basket.
I can supply pics if needed.
If the refurb is more than the price of new basket hilts, then I'll look at other options.

If you were local, I'd be happy to do it for you, but by the time you paid s/h 2 ways, you might just consider upgrading to a new set. Couple of quick guesses in the USPS s/h calculator shows that you'd be looking at about $22-$25 for a round trip, and that's only from FL to WV.
Hopefully you can find a friendly local with a welder and a hammer to give 'em a couple of love-taps.
