I know it isn't me.

Actually, that is Sir Richard of Wolfwood, his name often gets confused with Sir Andrew Lyon of Wolvenwood.

I don't think he's a laurel yet. I heard someone ask him earlier this year, but I could be mistaken.

--huh, i swore it was he and Mandrake (Roderick) that begged the boon for Master Tristram's laureling but a quick look at the OP says your right. Damn he should be, he is as good (if not better) that a few of the more recent armoring laurels IMOHO

i could be wrong on that though

Notes on Richard

Sir Richard is a Laurel, he received it several years ago while he lived in the outlands. The alphebet soup after his name is really damn long, but he'd be the last to tell you. He and I get mistaken for each other sometimes as we were always hanging out together years ago when we lived together. At all the major events he brings his work and sells out of my booth.

Sir Richard is indeed a fine fellow and a superb craftsman. He's one of those annoying folks who's good at everything he sets out to do. I hear he once made absolutely fabulous boots. When he tired of that, he went on to making helms.

He's a supremely chivalrous and doughty fighter, too. I had the pleasure(?) of fighting against him for my very first authorization, six years ago. 95 degrees in the shade, me in black-and-gold full plate (thanks, Roderick Image ). Sir Richard was most merciful with me...

I'm pretty sure he has outfitted the entire Northern War Band of Meridies in Helmets.

Roderick, how you to could ever be mistaken for each other is beyond me, unless you have started wearing glasses.

I do wear glasses, and used to have hair as long as Rich's. But really I think the mistake is made mostly due to guilt by association! We've been bud's since kindergarden. Lived together for years after high school. Went to every event possible from age 18 to 27 and hung out together all the time.

Joaquin,

You're certainly welcome, but may I ask why?

Roderick...

You made me that first set of plate when I was in high school. breastplate with fauld and backplate, spaulders, arm harness, gauntlets, gorget, and legharness.

I had the idiotic notion of painting the whole harness black and gold in summer '96. Bad idea. It was already incredibly hot in there, and several coats of black latex paint just made it worse. On top of that, it scraped off easily adnd quickly began to look awful. I later had it sandblasted to remove all that paint.

I'll try and post a pic of my Rich helm tonight to get this started.
