A garb question

Post by Ned Chaney »

What time period is an Irish Leine shirt from? Is it fairly early? Or does it not show up until much later in the SCA period?

Yes.

LOL

From my understanding leine is the ?gaelic? word for linen. But the type of shirt you are probably talikning about is definately documentable for the later period, And, if i'm not mistaken we have some evidence for it to have been used earlier, even much earlier.
