Not quite sure if this is more appropriate here or in the for sale section, but I am not selling anything, just passing along information.
The Arlington Museum of Art just recently wrapped up their exhibition of a Knight's Tale from the Museo Stibbert in Florence. When I originally inquired if they would sell their exhibition book, I had been told they were not as they wanted them to be available to individuals who could attend the exhibition in person. With the exhibition wrapped up, they still have a limited number available. I purchased my copy today so I have not seen the book and cannot vouch for what all is included. The book itself is $40, with tax and shipping extra.
If you are interested in getting a copy, the gentleman I worked with was Gary Schwartz, and his email address is gary(at)arlingtonmuseum.org. He asked that you include your name, address, city, state & zip, and a phone number and best time for him to call to take your credit card information for the purchase. Gary and I played email and phone tag over the past week trying to coordinate the sale, and having him call me was finally the best way to accomplish the deed. I can report again once I have the book in hand, but figured I would share now so that anybody who is interested can hopefully get a copy. I have no information on how limited the supply is, so cannot speak to when they might run out.
Museo Stibbert book from Arlington Museum of Art exhibition
Re: Museo Stibbert book from Arlington Museum of Art exhibition
My copy of the book came in. it appears it is the same book as would have been available in Atlanta and Nashville. 142 pages. Several high quality pictures of engraving and etching. I'm happy to have it in my collection, but it would not be the first book I purchased. Has some examples of armour types I don't believe I've seen before, but several appear familiar or similar to other examples.
