I was just wondering why the 9 peice globos Cherbuerg harnes survived. If it is so wonderfull to whare( I use one my self ) why has it survived. Also what is the wheight of the origanal?
The weight of the original is 2.65 kilos(Trapp. As to survival, it was one of the oldest pieces in the family armoury of the Vogts von Matsch at Churburg.
I would guess that it was replaced by another piece for whoever was wearing it, but that's just a wild guess. The condition of all of the collection at Churburg is amazingly good.
