Picture of Carolingian glass beaker wanted

Post by Ny Bjorn »

Hi all!

I'm searching for a good on-line resource for a Carolingian calendar picture that I've seen now and then in various literature. It's the picture for November and it shows a man leaning on a crutch. In his other hand he holds a glass beaker, from which he is drinking.

-Do any of You, fellow forumites know
a) the name and origin of the calendar and
b) a good on-line resource for the picture?

Any help would be much appreciated

Found the origin of the picture - for the interested it is "Codex Reginensis latinus 438", the Martyrologium of Emperor Lothar I, now in the library of the Vatican.
