My wife in armour at her Authorization

Post by sarnac »

Here is a pic of my wife in her full kit at an event in Ealdormere called Pikeman's Pleasure where she authorized.
I trained her for 2 months and she did much better than I even expected.
I am really proud of her.

She has been in the SCA for 12 years and tried fighting before but thought she just couldnt do it....just turned out she was being taught the wrong way for her body type.

Geez Sarnac, a gorgeous wife in gorgeous armor whom didn't have to be coaxed to attend an SCA event -- being that she's been a member for 12 years.
Does life get any better for you?
I'm jealous!
Congrats and best of luck to both of you!

I spent 5 times the amount of time on Her armour than I did on my own.
She said that she has been around so ling that she may die quickly but she wanted to look good doing it.
Thanks

Having met the lady, I will say the picture actually does her little justice...Sarnac is a very lucky man, indeed.

Nice, very nice, mm-hmm... Oh wait, I forgot to look at the armour. Yeah, that's good too. I'm glad to see lower leg protection. And congratulations to the lady!

No that is not a fox.
That actually is a trillium, the symbol of Ealdormere.

It is also an intricate part of her personal badge.
I made her Tassets in the shape of them.

and, yes I am a VERY lucky man.

Very cool! The leg armor is beautiful...I wish I had shin armor like that. Congrats to your wife on her authorization and huzzah to you for your support of her training.

Sarnac:

Will she be at Pensic? The only way you are getting into our encampment is if you bring her.

Nice try, Bedlam. How long has it been? Years?

And yes, the Lady in question is very beautiful, you are indeed a lucky guy! Nice harness as well. I'd keep her away from the Tuchux though.

As much as I am fascinated by the style of FIGHTING the Tuchux play with, I would have to agree. Keep your loved ones far far away from the Tuchux camp. Image

Nice try Bedlam...

If I brought her, she would end up in bunny fur and little bits of leather dancing around the fire and..............
