Rough pigface pics

Post by mshedden »

Here's a couple of pictures of the pigface bascinet I've been working on. It still needs a lot of refinement and cleanup. The "ears" still need to be rolled and cut into hinges.

Dude, it looks lovely... raising or welding or both or either?

I knew I forgot to mention something.....

The helm itself is welded from 3 pieces.

The visor is raised from a welded cone. I used Cad's pigface pattern from the archive.

The helm pattern was drawn up to fit the clients head.

Now that I have hotworking capabilities I plan on starting to raise helms instead of welding.

I have searched for a good hig point bassinet partern for a long time but nobody could give me their pattern. Are you willing to share your? I just need the top part. You can write back to me at dlandry@qc.aira.com to let me know.

It would be appreciated a lot.

did you make two halves on the face or bend one peice together and weld the bottom? ( the latter is much easier)

may want to consider taking 3/8 off the top portion of the visor.

looks cool
