Armour Cake (+Review)

Howdy folks!

Recently I've been working with a very talented armourer named Lewis Moore...

Some of you all may be familiar with his work through the stuff he sells on E-bay...

Today I just got the first care package of stuff he has been making for me.... Crusader elbows and knees in 16 guage stainless.

I give Lewis an overall rating of 5 out of 5 stars... :D

Remarkable turn around time, excellent customer service, and very nice craftsmanship.

I saw some of his e-bay auctions a couple weeks ago, and emailed him privately asking if we could just skip ebay, and have him make me some stuff... he said sure... and we quickly came to an arrangement...

I am very pleased with the final product. The craftsmanship is great... the elbows and knees are just as we discussed via email... Lewis finished the project the exact day he said he would (about 4 days after he started) and the armour arrived 4 days after I sent the money... He worked without a deposit, and all emails I sent were answered that day, or within the hour. And I sent alot...

I have taken pictures of the pieces... I'm sitting at my desk at work, so anything that looks odd in the pictures you can atribute to poor lighting and my shitty photography skills...

Here they are:

Just the elbows...

Those elbows and knees are both very nice, I definately agree that Lewis Moore is a good armourer. Maybe I'll search on Ebay and see if I can dig up something of his that strikes my fancy. :) Good job to Lewis Moore!

Knights Armoury - Lewis Moore -

I recently purchased a helm from him with the removable klappvisor -

I too give him a full 5 / 5 stars. His customer service is outstanding! He really cares that what you are receiving is what you think you are going to get. Really good attention to detail. Fair price - great product!

I ordered my helm from him and he had it turned around, made custom and shipped to me within two weeks.

I would buy from him again in a heartbeat. Very honest, trustworthy and cannot say enough positive about the transaction that I had with him.

I placed a special order with Lewis last week for a S/S helm. He stated that it would take about 2 weeks to get the Stainless from his supplier and he could finish it that day. One week has gone by and I have e-mailed him 3-4 times with design questions and mods, you know like an excited father expecting a new child.
His replies were very fast, and very helpful (patient also). He has been nothing but a great person to deal with so far. I haven't seen his work yet, but with these responces I really cant wait to see his craftsmanship... Oh Lord, I cant wait to get my new baby!!!!
Yours in service,

Ok.
I had to visit this site.
And the armor was pretty darn good (an understatement) and the prices were more than fair (see prior parenthetical comment).

But the psuedo-bagpipe music was hysterical.

Oh...my...God.
It starts out slow and with one refrain, funny, but not too pretentious and you think it will soon end and you'll simply have a menu screen.
But no, it keeps going and going and going....more parts are added, drum tracks and counter-melodies that begin in a round, and then turn itno harmonies....I don't know why, but I was laughing until tears ran down my face. At first I thought it was a pretty cheesy effect and then I really started to enjoy the artistry of it, and that was even funnier.
Then I checked out the items.
Back to sobriety.
That was until I got to the category "Other".
You have got to check THAT one out.
And yes that is the Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries playing in the background.
I have to go change my pants now.
