Breastplate Repair by Patrick Thaden (pic)

Post by Edric »

This is a breastplate that my lady had started to work on.

Patrick finished it off for her. There was quite a bit of pitting from rust because it sat in a shed for several months.

It was based on a couple of 15th century Milanese breastplates in the churburg books with a little artistic flare by Patrick and my lady.

That Patrick sure does have a good eye doesn't he.

5 minutes of his time is worth more than 5 weeks of banging your head against the wall and getting nowhere.

If not for him, my great helm wouldn't look great.

Thanks for the pics, that is a very fine breast plate.

Hal.

Those are great pics but that last breastplate, the one with the face embossed in it, gives me the creeps...

Great breastplate!

Pedro, I know what you mean...

But I was not going to say anything.
