Dear all,
since I live about 500km away from my shop it took a long time to make my new helmet.
It´s a crusader pot helm

Looks like a chimera between "Frankenstein" and "planet of the apes".
There´s only 1,5cm left between top of head and upper helm plate, but it looks really high.
What do you think ?
Made of 2mm steel (face and neck parts) and 1,5mm (top parts), 1mm brass.

Very cool.
I have never been a big fan of this style helm (I play a crusader too) but this is a very well crafted helm, fits the period, and will distunguish you from the bascinet wearing hordes
The apparent extreme height is just an optical illusion. Did you know that your eyes are in the middle of your head? Measure vertically from chin to crown and your eyes will be dead center
Nice hat dude. Unfortunately, we now want pictures of you in your complete harness
