Basket hilt pattern wanted for sheet metal...

Post by Nomad »

I'm just looking for a pattern that would work for a beginner in metal like myself. I have sheet metal and can't weld. I have LOTS of rivets, nice thick sheet aluminum, and 16 gauge mild steel. I am not sure if the patterns here on the archive are suitable. I'd prefer a pattern that required minimal dishing. :-)

Rev. George-

I think you got the second one off of either Dan Fenwick's page or else the Cynagua Marshallate page. I gave him the pattern and told him I got it from Sir Paul of Summerton's squire. It works fine and I have see the same pattern floating around the SCA with other armorers.

Just so you know why you can't find it on the Archive.
