Gulf Wars XIII pic "Wheres Waldo" at the Fort

Post by Rainald »

THL Barbra Sterling (Glean Abhann Historian) has just updated her photo page with some GW XIII pics.

Everybody try to find yourself if you were there. I'm almost dead center, white arming cap and 3/4 full plate:

My personal favorite is:

The start of the first field battle - That's all Gleann Abhann.

Well - it would take some serious resolution to see me in that one. I stayed way in the back - in the shade.

I'm about fifteen feet in front of Sir Randal and HE Sir Mahdi, slightly smart enough to stand in the doorway of the fort in the shade :).

Anyone truly interested in seeing me can find me here:

http://www.brotherguido.com/blackmoor/e ... 4/0132.jpg

I'm the dude up front on my knees with my sword over my shoulder and my shield at my side with a white arming cap, grinning like a fool.

But dang, doesn't that Gleann Abhann tatoo on my forehead look stylish? :)

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Actually, Magnus, the pic you posted isn't "Calontir" but it's the men who participated in the Ladies of the Rose tourney. I'm in the first castle picture, but far enough back that it's difficult to describe which one I am, and I'm in the pic you displayed, back row, far left, tall guy with a goatee.

Hey Magnus,

Don't embed the photo - just post the link.

Lady Barbara requests that we just post URLs to a particular photo, not direct links. If this happens too much, she will shut it down.

Hey Lord Rainald, what's with all that shiny steel? Are you trying to look like you are actually wearing armour or something? I'm pretty sure there is a rule against that... :)

Actually except for the helm that particular kit is all aluminum.

Are you trying to look like you are actually wearing armour or something

Yep, silly me, I'll try not to let it happen again. :o

Is the back of his wheelchair fashioned into a shield, or is his shield just stuck in the back of his wheelchair?

His shield is just stuck into the back of his chair. Easier to cart it around. There's a bar behind the leather back of the chair. THat's his "fighting chair" with wheelie bar and so on.
